Question: Toyota tacoma 4 wheel drive problem?

Hey i have a 2002 toyota tacoma v6 TRD and its got 180, 000 miles on it and a bunch of aftermarket upgrades but the 4 wheel drive stoped working and i dont know why so if anyone could help id really apreciate it. when i try to put it into 4 high or 4 low it feels like it wants to engage and in 4 low its definatly in a low gear but its still in 2wd and the light that comes on when its in 4 dosnt come up anymore. if you can help me out that would be great and if its alot to type out or u have links to send my email is j.blevins28@yahoo.com
