We did. The British have it rear-end backwards due to their common practice of passing people on horse back long before there were automobiles. Stuck in the past forever. I think their brains are installed upside down and backwards as well, LOL!!! Good Luck!

Perhaps because we are all not the same? Not all countries have the same government styles, the same religions, the same beliefs. To each his own, I suspect.

Where did you get the idea that cars have anything to do with what side we drive on?The conventions of which side were set hundreds of years before.What do think happened when two horse drawn coaches met head on?Anyway,I was taught that in England the left side was to facilitate drawing your sword from horseback and fighting,as most people are right handed this seems plausible.And the US when they won the war of Independence they deliberately changed to ride/ drive on the right so as to differ from the English and set them as far apart as possible,a statement and action of independence.Cars came a bit later.
