He changed the oil and all the air filters along with the fuel filter. I drove it home and it drove well. This morning i went out and started the car up to warm it up as i do every morning. When i came back outside 10Min's later the engine was no longer running. I hopped in and tried to start it and it would not kick over. I got out and notice a really intense fuel smell. I walked around the back of the car and found all under the car the fuel was everywhere underneath. What could have caused this i am waiting to ring my mechanic as its too early but there must be a reason for this.

Maybe someone stuck something in the exhaust pipe, because idling is illegal in Canada, and should be everywhere else. You make me sick, not considering that when you have grandchildren, they can't live, because my grandma idled her damn car. Go do something productive, or drink booze and waste yourself instead of the environment.

You don't need to know the cause. The simple fact is that the mechanic has returned the car to you in an unmerchantable condition. Under the Trade Practices Act, not only are they liable to fix all of their mistakes, but even to cover to costs of towing and any incidental parts and labour. I take it that you visited a local mechanic. I doubt that a Holden Dealer or even someone like UltraTune would have left you with such a poor job.

My guess would be they have not tightened the fuel filter, which is under the rear section of the car..
