Question: Ford f150 lift problem?

I want to lift my ford f150 3 inches but i need to know if is possible just by putting a spacer in the spring coil if so please where can i buy the spacer and how thick it needs to be because a read that only putting one inch spacer it will lift up three inches and that does not make sense to me tank you only need to lift the front
