4.6 ford f150 vs 4.7 dodge dakota?

Question: 4.6 ford f150 vs 4.7 dodge dakota?

So me and my friend are planning on having a little race, i got a 4.6 ford f150 5speed stock except the mud and snow tires. He has on his dakota 4inch body lift and 33 tires, cold air and headers and its auto, who do u think would win this race, im a good standard driver and pretty confident in winning. give me your thoughts

It would be fairly close if your friend neglected to regear his truck after having the lift and 33's installed. What year is your truck and what year is his truck? The 4.6L could have anywhere from 210-248 HP and the 4.7L have anywhere from 230 to 302 HP depending on the year. If your friend has the 230 HP model and didn't regear, and you have 99-03 model F-150, with 3.55 or 3.73 gears, then it'll be close. But if your friend installed some 4.10 or better gears to offset the 33's, then he'll win pretty easily.

The Dakota is probably going to win because it's a smaller and lighter truck and has more upgrades to his engine. Also I believe the 4.7L made more horsepower stock than Ford's 4.6L both generations.
