Do earlier ford suvs last longer then later models?
four of my family members purchased well used ford suvs and a couple of years later all of them are well over 200,000 miles no serious problems and poorly maintained, they conisists of three explorers one expedition 1996 1999 2000 1999. I'm looking to buy another vehicle, since my folks have had so much luck with their ford suv, should i buy one in that year range well maybe 1999 2002 i can't afford brand spanking new yetlook over the bad grammarlook over the bad grammar

What headlights do I need/should I get? (ford focus 2005)?
I have recently gotten the dreaded padiddle. Yeah, I have a headlight out. But I don't know what type of bulb to replace it with because all my previous cars had two seperate bulbs and this appears to be just one. My stock headlights are about as bright as a blonde and I want something a bit brighter for both headlights. I don't want to spend a lot of money because I don't plan on having it more than a few more weeks, but I still drive two hours at night everynight.

1996 Ford Explorer question?
My son has a 1996 ford explorer 4.0 V 6 the other day there was an issue with the tensioner it broke and power steering fluid went everywhere and the belt broke the tensioner was replaced today along with the belt and then when it was started he noticed a whining noise, burning smell, and smoke coming from the alternator he decided to chance that the burning smell was the power steering fluid and drove home he was able to make it home but in the process of that another belt broke and he lost the power steering again we are thing at this point to replace the alternator maybe because the explorer starts okay although the battery light came on just before he came homeCould it be something else ? If I need to clarify anything let me know I'll try

1970 Ford F100. Did I WIRE this ignition bypass correctly?
This is an old 1970 ford pick up. My key no longer works in the ignition so I installed a " toggle switch push button" bypass system. I'm not sure I wired it correctly and hope someone can let me know if there is a problem with this method... a OLD IGNITION Removed from dash and unplugged the conglomerate of six wires that snapped into the back of ignition. Those wires are just hanging from the dash now. I did nothing to them, just disconnected from ignition. b TOGGLE SWITCH mounted on dash and ran two wires from the Toggle Switch to the Voltage Regulator 1 wire is connected to the side of Voltage Regulator and 2nd wire is connected to the nearest terminal, in front of the Voltage Regulator. Does it matter which wire is connected to the right left side of Toggle Switch? c PUSH BUTTON Mounted to dash with two wires connected as follows wire1 attached to the starter solenoid. and wire 2 is connected to the negative terminal of the battery. Again, not sure if the wires need to be connected to a specific side of the Push Button. Thank you
