Question: Should i be an automotive painter?

I have worked in a family business my whole life but its not for me and working with family is very very stressful. I want to do something that I enjoy and I love to paint. I love to sand something down real good and then paint it, the finished product gives me a huge sense of accomplishment which I dont have in my life right now. My question is how do I become an auto painter? Do I need schooling? Is it a fun job? Is the pay good? Any help is well appreciated.

Takes time to build a reputation and learn the tricks of the trade.Like anything in life if you enjoy it and work hard you will reap the benefits later.Look for a trade school or go on down to a maaco or bodyshop and start at the bottom and work your way up,any thing is possible just put in the time and effort.
