Troubleshooting my automotive air condioner?
I have a 1996 gmc 1500 with the vortex v8 and my air conditioner system does not work. when i push the button for the ac the compressor clutch should engage please correct me if im wrong but anyways the ac doesn't seem to blow cold air not sure where to start to troubleshoot.. did check the fuses. please help

Is there someone with automotive body repair experience that will look at this picture?
My friend backed up into my car and did some damage. The biggest damage is the hole punched into the bumper from the trailer hitch, and there are also some scratches. The grill is obviously broken, but this can be easily replaced. My question is, will an experienced body shop be able to repair the rest of the damage without buying an entire bumper. Collecting automotive claim from accident?
after being the vicitm off pass the buck between insurance companys, finally one has stepped up to bat and is willing to settle the claim. Fill you in on background, driver at fault ran stop sign, was sighted. Driving grandmas car from south carolina,grandmas insurance didnt want to pay, tried to force drivers , failed, and then took liability. shew When i first was approached by the insurance company, they asked me right off the bat how extensive were my injurys. I told them the questions were to be refered to my lawyer. the are severe i then told them i wanted to settle the van and that my lawyer was not representing me on that portion off the claim. he refused and said he woulndt speak to me about it . Also told him that he didnt represent my wife in her claim either, still refused. 24 hours later after talking to my lawyer they called back and wanted to settle. i will be happy to get the vehicle payed off and not owe my ins. companys figure was 200.00$ to the positive . Yet this leaves me with no vehicle or a down payment. Is there anything i can do to make this different? Also what is my wifes claim worth? She had airbag burns on wrist , bruises on face, knees. and roughly 1000.00$ off medical bills. She was the driver, iwas the passenger. if it matters it was a 50 mph impact total loss of both vehicles. impact was on my side passenger

this shop completely destroyed my motor and i need to find who there insurance company is so i can get my money back from the shop and enough money to fix my car. i spend $10,000 at this shop and i got my car back covered in overspray, the motor had a good amount of dirt in it, only half the parts i payed for were installed on the car and the had no idea on what they were doing to install what parts they did put on. i have had the car at another shop and the have told me that whoever worked on the car should not have been touching it and they were inexperienced. that was a mechanic's shop that had a very good reputation and over 30 years of experience.

Automotive expertise needed. I am having a chirping/rattling sound from my truck engine.?
It is repetitious and happens in quick succession. It is rather high pitched. It doesn't happen all the time but is still pretty frequent. My truck is an automatic and the noise happens right before it changes gears. It really only happens when my engine rpm is between 1700 and 2000 I am sure it would happen higher than 2000 but I rarely push it beyond that . As soon as the engine changes gears it stops. I also have noticed my truck is shaking when it is idling, although this may be unrelated. I figure or at least hope it is just a belt.Just had a tune up last month or so. Check engine light is not on. I'm sure the shaking is not related. The shaking would only be noticable to me I'm sure.
Should I be an Automotive painter?
I have worked in a family business my whole life but its not for me and working with family is very very stressful. I want to do something that I enjoy and I love to paint. I love to sand something down real good and then paint it, the finished product gives me a huge sense of accomplishment which I dont have in my life right now. My question is how do I become an auto painter? Do I need schooling? Is it a fun job? Is the pay good? Any help is well appreciated.
