How can i use regular automotive paint as touch up paint?
the other day i came out of a store to find a big ol to the sheet metal scratch on my 96 Chevy blazer which i got last month and had a flawless paint job till i got it my Chevy dealership said that because my paint is such an old color touch up paint would take 2 weeks to get to them and a better idea would be to get some paint from there body shop. they game me a big container of my color in a plastic bottle and i was wondering how to apply it

I'm a high school student looking to get into fixing up old beaters with a few friends, but we have a problem. Did i damage my eye from my automotive class?
ok so i have an auto class and today i walked in the shop and i see this blue box it was a welder and the kid was welding something on the car and i looked directly at it for like 2sec then i realized what it was so i turned around by i was like 5feey away i thought it was just a bright flashlight but noo it was welding now and hour later my eyes kind of burn and hurt my instructor said youll be fine just dont ever do that again but i think i damaged something cause my eye is quite painful the teacher said its cause your thinking about it and in order to damage your eyes youdd have to sit ther for 3hours and stare at it but idk

Here is a little about me I am a 17 year old, who is inevitably going to college to study something engineering probably mechanical I absolutely love cars and have always dreamed of working on them, restoring a car, customizing a car, and doing body work on a car.If I am going to a University to study, what are my options not going to a full time technical school to learn my way around the automobile so that I can get this hobby off the ground?Are there apprenticeships I could do?Community Colleges? > My local one doesnt offer any body shop automotive tech...how unfortunateAnd I don't have time for technical school..Is there any literature that I could use to educate myself on the topic? I also want hands on education though so I am not sure where to start...Thanks for your help Ideally, I would like to pursue a career with a large automotive company, if you have any knowledge on that PLEASE do share...What should I major in college to pursue such an endeavor?For example, if I wanted to work for BMW Chevy Ford Audi or any automotive company what would I have to do?

How well do Automotive Technicians do?
I have gone the formal path and researched the average salary for an automotive technician through government information sites and such. The problem here is that there is a very large discrepancy between what the governments " statistics" say and what real life people on the job have to say. Would anyone like to share what the earning potential of a true,educated Master Technician could make?

What school should I attend for a career as an Automotive Technician?
Im so confused on which school to choose from. I've narrowed it down to Lincoln Tech and Ivy Tech. I'd like to know which school would be better choice. Maybe someone who attended either one could give me some advice. If it helps I would take just the regular automotive classes with high performance at Lincoln Tech and maybe either a Associate of Applied Science Degree for Automotive Service or a Technical Certificate for Auto Service at Ivy Tech.
