Question: How much would it cost to change a 6cyl auto cj engine?

Into a beter engine like maybe a 94 v- 8 or cyl fuel injected yj engine? How much would that cost to do it completely

The 6 cylinder is going to have more low end torque than the v8. A yj engine runs about 2100.00 for a decent remanufactured one. You may want to see if you can find a wrecked donor yj if you really want to do that conversion. You are going to need adapters for both the v8 and the 4.0 to mate to the earlier cj drivetrain
