My car is painted with automobile paint, and I wanted to spruce up the paint job a bit with some wacky colours. If I use regular spray paint, will it affect the paint that's already on my car? I don't want to pay extra for the car spray paint, but I don't want to damage the car.

Is being a auto mechanic a good job? Is the pay good and its conditions?
I'm 18 and a Year 12 graduate. I did Digital Interactive Media at TAFE but realised that sitting in the computer all day with all this software and crap isn't my thing. So I considered being an auto mechanic as a career path because I like cars anyway. I wanted to get an apprenticeship with a dealer, lets say BMW or Mercedes Benz, and build on from there. But its discouraging that a lot of posts I've seen in the internet are from people saying that being a mechanic isn't a good job at all, even my step dad's mates that he asked have said the same thing, they say that the pay is low considering the hard work they have done, and some of them even went to say " DON'T DO IT" . Is it really this bad? or are there any alternative career paths that are related to being a mechanic that I can consider taking instead?

Please help.... I am a first time buyer, I need a loan so I can finance a used vehicle. I don't own credit cards and I have student loans I am paying off basically I don't have credit. I have a full time job, and a down payment saved $800 1,000 Can I still get an auto loan? Is it better for someone like me to go through a franchise dealer or independent dealer?Most banks require the loan minimum of $7,500 U.S. & the car must be 7 years old or younger . BUT I also know some dealers can help you try to get a loan as well. I am afraid my APR is going to be way too high? Any recommendations or helpful insight...thank you
Auto transmission falling out of gear?
I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante with automatic transmission. I've been having a problem with the cars transmission. What basically happens is when slowly accelerating in the 20 30mph range my transmission will attempt to switch gears and fall out into neutral. This problem doesn't occur if accelerating quickly. Once its fallen out applying more throttle will just cause the RPM's to go up and occasionally may cause the car to go back into gear with a sudden lurch. Most of the time I just have to switch it into neutral and then back into drive to get it going again. I'll be taking it into a shop soon, but does anyone have any idea what it may be and how much it would cost to fix?
